6-9-15 Compassion

Sadness of apparently absent God, common argument against God, earthquakes, floods, the current crisis.
All man made, Created by sin and avarice and pride, but still, In the minds of those who want to, either permitted by God, or a sign that God does not exist
We have to show that God exists by showing His love.
Not being there to welcome them, not being there to support them, not being there is their hour of need, threatens the Christian identity of Europe.
Matthew 5:13 NLT
““You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavour? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless.”
I don’t think that is the kind of Christianity that we want, one that is trampled underfoot. So I suggest that what we need is compassion, accompanied by involvement, intelligence and integrity.
Words of John Wesley:
Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can
God is not absent, God is very present in us, and it’s our job to make Him present in the world
